Time For Me

Time has really changed for me, once again. It's really been a big adjustment for me, with Emma starting to school this year....it seems like you always want more time to get things done and now that I have the time, I still can't get anything done. lol It's a strange feeling being alone part of the day, both relief and lonliness. Different than I imagined it would be.

I decided to document part of that by doing a layout about me for The Color Room this week. We're on Palette #22:

I'm hoping that I can learn to be more organized and keep up with things better, now that I have more time.....I've been working on going through each room, one by one to start. Maybe that's why I still feel I dont' have any time...lol.

Have a great weekend!

  5. Beautiful layout. I'm at a different stage than you but we are feeling the same emotions (confusion/failure to 'succeed'/surprise). I retired recently and Still can't get things done. lol. Come clean my messes when you are done with yours. Take care.

  11. I love your layout Lucy - love that 7gypsies paper you've cut to make your border strip.

It's a nice feeling to have a bit of space in the day where you can concentrate on something and actually finish it, isn't it! Jamie goes to school next year and I'm trying to work out what I'll do. I think that I will end up spreading my work days from two to three but fit them around school hours. Realistically, on my two days off, after I've done the housework, shopping and my exercise classes I'll probably still feel like I have no time lol!

  12. I'm overjoyed that both of my boys are in school together this year- more scrap time for me :D
Lovely layout. The palette is more bland than usual for The Color Room. Looks doable;) Thanks for the inspo.

  13. Beautiful LO!!! I so know what you mean. When my youngest started school, I suddenly had all of this extra time ... but somehow I ended up less organized than when the kids were at home. After all of these years, I still haven't found a way to get more organized LOL, and I guess I have given up trying :-))) Enjoy this time for you Lucy, we all need that, so much more than we realize.
    Love xxx Peggy

  17. You do get better at it Lucy!!!! I remember doing a LO on this exact topic when my second went to school leaving me with a whole day to myself. I could not get anything done at all....I just wandered about aimlessly!!!! hehehe! I sorted through my rooms too! Hope you enjoy the time to yourself....we all deserve a bit of that!!!
