Mine

Happiness is often a choice, I think. Several years before Emma was born I went through a lot of emotional issues, with family illnesses and depression. This layout is to celebrate that I try to choose to be happy more times than not.

I've used Prima here and some gesso masked over with Shimmerz Vibez in Breaking Dawn and splattered with Coal Shimmerz. I edited the background of my photos in PSE to change the background of each.

Thanks for letting me share with you today, this is something I still find hard to talk about - depression, I mean. But I know everyone has their own trials in life and maybe knowing someone else has battled it will help you, too.

Sending you a smile today. :D And wishing my mom a very happy birthday, miss you. xo

  2. Thank you for being brave and sharing this! I know it has watered the seedlings of the same type of plant I am growing in my head too. Depression is no small thing, but if you are one of the blessed, changed thoughts can indeed change one's life. I have been listening to Wayne Dyer on Youtube and doing thework.com ....much the same thinking.

  5. Brava ragazza for such an honest, heartfelt layout. I'm right there with you in putting these "things" "out there", and especially via scrapbooking.
And the page itself is gorgeous.

  7. Very nice layout. It is hard to talk about subjects that are uncomfortable - but I think we need to be honest in documenting our lives. I want my great-great-great grandchildren to know they came from people who could handle the good & the bad with grace.
    Hugs,
    Debra
