I hate to sound like a broken record but we are still recovering from this cold thing that I had, now Emma and now Mark. Don't you hate it when it hits everyone in the family!
I've been working on some LOs that I really love this weekend for some classes I am doing at Scrapmuse next weekend for the Fall Festival Crop. I'm going to post some sneaks and details tomorrow. Hope some of my blogging friends can come over and check it out! There will be lots of prizes and fun and games for all! :)

I just love how this picture captured the bubble in front of Emma's face and her intent look! She loves bubbles and asks almost every day to blow some! lol I tried to continue the look of bubbles by stamping some random circles with a foam stamp and placing the title on the acrylic tag. Some machine stitching finished off the final details.
Em and my mom looked so cute together in this picture. My mom kept mentioning to me how much she liked it - so this LO is going to her to frame. I painted the background cardstock with brown acrylic paint to get the right color and texture. I punched some flowers from the distress paper I made (see earlier post) and some over stamped cardstock. Love the way the border punch finished the edges of the blue paper but wish I could figure out how to make the corners match up better. (A math whiz I am not)
These photos are from our trip to see the Backyardigans Live. Em is performing the Mighty Knights march during intermission. I used a charcoal pencil to shade and outline on this LO. I love how the crepe paper ribbon framed the title.

Of course I think I went a little overboard with the layers, but you know me! lol I took these pictures of Em when she was about 15 month and just love them. She was so proud of her messy face and thought she was very funny!
I crumpled and distressed my paper layers and did some layered floral embellishments with bling, tulle, and flowers. Here is a close-up of some of the detail:
I guess there were about 200 people in the class and there will be 6 total with eliminations each week. Wish me luck! :)

The distressed paper is a piece of cardstock that I did a tutorial on - you can see all the details here. Just another fabulous technique by Tim Holtz (my fave)! I have step-by-step photos and instructions if you want to check it out.
I am off to visit all of my blogging friends that I have missed the past couple of weeks. Can't wait to see what everyone has been up to! See you soon. :)
